Due to health regulations of our school district, we can only accept brand new stuffed animals from the store. We are located in the Inland Empire area of southern California. Our middle school is comprised of 6-7-8 grades and stuffed bears are donated to the American Red Cross - Riverside County Chapter. They are given to children who have lost everything due to their homes being burned to the ground. Our goal for this school year is 700 stuffed bears.

SAFE of the Rockies is eager to accept your donations of new and gently used stuffed animals in addition to donations of children's books.
Collected items will be refurbished (if needed) and then presented to local law enforcement, fire departments, and other emergency services for use with children in traumatic incidents. Those items not suitable for such organizations (typically items of the large or "too-much-loved" variety) will be found new homes in libraries, schools, and other children's programs. Stuffed animals for hospitals must be brand new with the tags on. The hospitals in this area require stuffed animals to be brand new with the tags intact. The stuffed animals for this program will be donated to Fire Departments, Hospitals and Homeless shelters to help children through tough times.
